Heritage Chimney and Flue lining – Sussex

A major refurbishment was underway at Standen House. The open fire in the Entrance Hall was to be commissioned for use. On inspection, the parging in the flue had deteriorated, and it was decided that the flue should be re-lined.

Furanflex was chosen as the best material for the job, as the cross sectional area of flue could be retained with this method. A 19 metre x 150mm internal diameter flue liner was installed in 1 day, with minimal mess created. The job was completed by Greystone Chimneys’ engineers by early afternoon, and the fire was being used 48 hours after completion of works.

“We are over the moon with the job done, and it is really reassuring to know that we are now able to safely use the open fire. May I thank you for your professional and courteous team, who are a credit to you”.
